let the present ratio of their ages be 4x,5x
after 6 years
4x+6/5x+6=7/9
36x+54=35x+42
36x-35x=x
54-42=12
x=12
now rams age be 4×12=48yrs
shyams age be 5×12=60yrs
hope this is the correct ans

Solution -

 Let the present age of Ram be 4x yrs

So, the present age of Shyam be 5x yrs

According to Question,

4x - 6/5x - 6 = 7/9

=> 9(4x - 6) = 7(5x - 6)

=> 36x - 54 = 35x - 42

=> 36x - 35x = - 42 + 54

=> x = 12

Present age of Ram = 4x yrs = 4(12)yrs

= 48 yrs

Present age of Shyam = 5x yrs

= 5(12) yrs

= 60 yrs
