▶️ {Let the number of boys and girls be x}

▶️ so , 14 x + 5 x = Total strength

▶️ 19x = total strength

▶️ 5x = 1045 ( Number of girls )

▶️ x = 209

▶️ 19 × 209 = 3971 ( Total strength)

{♡Answer = 3971♡}

Given ,

 • Ratio of number of boys and girls in school = 14 : 5
 • Number of girls = 1045

If no. of boys be = 14x

And no. of girls be = 5x

Thus ratio = 14x / 5x

Then ,

 • 5x = 1045
 • x = 1045 / 5
 • x = 209

By knowing the value of x we can calculate the total strength of school

 • = no. of boys + no. of girls
 • = 14x + 1045
 • = 14 x 209 + 1045
 • = 2926 + 1045
 • = 3971
