Answer:

It is given that , the ratio of boys and girls in the school is 8:3.

Thus,

Let the number of boys be 8x

and the number of girls be 3x.

Also,

It is given that, the number of girls in school is 375.

Thus;

=> 3x = 375

=> x = 375/3

=> x = 125

Thus,

The number of boys = 8x

= 8•125

= 1000

Also,

Total number of students in school

= no. of boys + no. of girls

= 1000 + 375

= 1375

Hence, the total number of students

(or the total strength) of the school is 1375.

Answer:

Suppose the number of boys be = 8x .

and the number of girls be = 3x .

The number of girls in school = 375 .

3x = 375 .

x = 375/3.

x = 125 .

The no. of boys = 8x .

= 8 × 125

= 1000.

= The total number of students in class :

The number of boys + The number of girls .

= 1000 + 375

= 1370 .
