There are 40 boys in group

Solution:

Given that,

The ratio of boys to girls in a group is 5 : 2

Thus, total parts = 5 + 2 = 7

5 - 2 = 3 more parts that are boys

The 24 extra boys are those 3 parts

3 part = 24

1 part = 24/3 = 8

Therefore,

Number of boys = 5 parts = 5(8) = 40

Thus there are 40 boys in group
