6-1 = 5 more parts of boys. these are those extra 45 boys.

45 ÷ 5 = 9 boys per part

in each part there are 9 boys and 9 girls because each part has equal number of kida

so ther are 54 boys and 9 girls because (6:1)

total number of kids = 54 +9 =63

Step-by-step explanation:

let the total no. of girls be x

let the total no. of boys be x +45

according to the ratio

6x +1x = x+x+45

7x=2x +45

7x-2x=45

5x=45

x=45/5

x=9
