The ratio of boys to girls in a school is 5 :4. If a number of boys are 540 find the number of girls and in the school.
Given answer is 432972

5÷4=x÷540
we cross multiply:
5×540=4x
=2700
x=2700÷4
x=675
so there are 675 girls in the school..
so given answer is wrong as432972.
