Hey,
Buying Price : Selling Price = 4:5
Let Buying Price be 4x and Selling Price be 5x.
Since,
Selling Price < Buying Price (I.e. selling price is greater than buying price)
It's Profit.
As we know,
Profit = Selling Price - Buying Price = 5x - 4x = x
Now,
Profit Percentage = (Profit/Buying Price)×100
![profit \: percentage \: = ( \frac{x}{4x} ) \times 100 profit \: percentage \: = ( \frac{x}{4x} ) \times 100](https://tex.z-dn.net/?f=profit+%5C%3A+percentage+%5C%3A++%3D+%28+%5Cfrac%7Bx%7D%7B4x%7D+%29+%5Ctimes+100)
![= \frac{1}{4} \times 100 = \frac{1}{4} \times 100](https://tex.z-dn.net/?f=+%3D++%5Cfrac%7B1%7D%7B4%7D++%5Ctimes+100)
![= 25\% = 25\%](https://tex.z-dn.net/?f=+%3D+25%5C%25)
Hence,
Profit Percentage = 25 ℅
