of hydrogen. Chemical equivalent can be found by dividing the formula weight by

its valence.

While the

electrochemical equivalent of a substance is a simple ratio of its chemical

equivalent weight to a faraday.  

ECE = E/F    E is Chemical equivalent weight, F is

Faraday number.

In other words, electrochemical equivalent or Eq of a chemical element is the mass of that element in grams which is transported by 1 coulomb of electricity. Eq is measured with a voltameter.
