let no. of cookies be 5x
and no. of cake be 7x
then
5x+7x= 600
12x= 600
x= 50
so no. of cake = 7×50
= 350 boxes.

hi.....

Cookies : Cake = 5 : 7

Let the common multiple be x.

So , the no. of boxes having cookies are 5x and that which have cakes are 7x.

By the given condition ...

Total no. of boxes are 600.

7x + 5x = 600

12x = 600

x = \frac{600}{12}

x = 50

No. of boxes having cakes :

7x = 7(50) = 350

Final Statement :
The no. of boxes which has cakes are 350.
