It is given that copper and zinc are in 5:3. and weight of copper = 30.5 gm

So, total weight of alloy = 3+5 =8

weight of copper 5/8 = 30.5

so weight of an alloy = 30.5 x8/5 = 6.1 x8 = 48.8 gm

So weight of zinc = 3 x48.8/8 = 3 x6.1 = 18.3 gm
