Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Length =5cm

Breadth=3.5cm

Perimeter =2 (l+b)

=2 (5+3.5)

=17cm

Area=length ×breadth

=5×3.5

=17.5

Required ratio=17:17.5

Answer: 10 : 7

Step-by-step explanation: The diagonal of square is 5cm and 3.5 cm

The diagonal of square = s √2

s = side of square

diagonal of square of 1 square = 5 cm

5 = s √2

s = 5/ √2

Now change into simplest form by rationalisation

s = 5 / √2 × √2 /√2

s = 5√2 / 2

Now the perimeter of 1 square = 4 × side

                                                     = 4 × 5 √2/2

                                                     = 10 √2

Now we have to find  side of 2 square =

s√2 = 3.5

s = 3.5/ √2

Rationalise the denominator

= 3.5 / √2 × √2 / √2

= 3.5 √2 / 2

So, the perimeter of 2 square = 4× side

                                                  = 4 × 3.5 √2/2

                                                  = 7 √2

The ratio in perimeter = 10 √2 /7√2

                                    = 10 : 7
