Let the age of father be x and son be y

Then x/y=4/1 (coz x:y=4:1)

or x=4y

Also we are given,

x y=196

put the value of x=4y

4y×y=196

ory^2=49

or y=7 (sons age)

fathers age,x=4y=4×7=28

After 5 years their age will be,

7+5 and 28+5

12 and 33

Father :son=33:12=11:4
