let the no of teachers (female) be x
6-x:1+x = 11:10
6-x ÷ 1+x= 11÷10
60-10x = 11+11x(cross multiply)

60 - 11 = 11x - 10x
x=59 (answer)

kaur5manjeetgmail: was it all right
krishnabhadra: can you please elaborate? I don't understand fully
Ezekiel9: It's wrong dear..
krishnabhadra: OK
krishnabhadra: then what are the steps and what is the answer please?

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

a) female:male = 6:1

number of male teachers = 6

number of female teachers = 36

b) Total number of teachers = 36+6=42

Ratio = 11:10

female = 42×(11/21) = 22

male = 42×(10/21) = 20

number of female teachers transferred = 36-22=14
