Answer:

let number of girls and  boys  be 5x and 7x respectively ,

According to the question:-

7x = 5x+150

7x-5x=150

2x = 150

x = 150/2

x= 75

no. of girls  = 5x= 5 x 75 = 375

no. of boys  = 7 x 75 =  525

total no. of students = 375 + 525 = 900

Answer:

ok so ratio of girls to boys is 5:7, so the no. of girls is 5x and the no. of boys is 7x.

Now:

5x + 7x = 12x

no. of boys is 150 more than the no. of girls then no of boys is:

7x= 5x + 150

so the final equation will be:

5x + 7x = 12x

5x + 5x + 150 = 12x

5x + 5x - 12x = -150

10x- 12x = -150

-2x= -150

150= 2x

150 ÷ 2= x

75=x

now since x=75

no. of girls= 5x= 5×75 = 375

no. of boys= 7x= 7×75= 525

∴ Total no of students of that school= 525 + 375 = 900 students.

P.S please thank!
