total no of girls =77

no of girls =x

let no of girls want to become pilot =3x

no of girls want to become engineer =4x

according to question

3x+4x=77

7x=77

x=77/7

x=11

Step-by-step explanation:

meaning of ratio: The ratio of two quantities is the same units is a fraction that one quantity is of the other.

Hello mate here is your answer:

The total no's of girls = 77

The ratio of pilots and engineers is 3:4 respectively.

Let,

the sum of ratio = 3+4 = 7

  nos \: of \: pilot \:  =  \frac{3}{7} \times 77 = 33 girls \\ nos \: of \: engineer \:  =  \frac{4}{7} \times 77 = 44 girls \\ if \: 11 \: girls \: changed \: the \: mood \: from \: pilot to engineers \\ then \: nos \: of \: pilot \:  =  \: 33 - 11 = 22 girls \\ their \: new \: ratio \:  =  \: 1 \: is \: to \: 2 \: or \:  \frac{1}{2}

thanks
