The ratio of good markers to not working markers in a classroom is 5:2. There are 14 markers. How many good markers are there?

Let the no. of good markers be 5x and that of 'not working' markers be 2x.

Total no. of markers = 14

5x + 2x = 14

7x = 14

x = 2

Hence, no. of good markers = 5×2= 10

Non working markers = 2×2 = 4
