the ratio of hight two friends is7 ratio 8 if the height of the taller friend is 176 cm find the hight of the other

Let the heights of the friends be 7x and 8x 

Height of taller friend = 176 cm

i.e.,

8x = 176

x = 176/8
   = 22

Height of the other friend = 7x = 7*22 = 154 cm

154 cm as taller one is 8×22 and shorter one will be 22×7. So it's 7:8 and shorter boy is of 154 cm
