Let the common ratio of the income be x.
So, income of p = 3x
and income of q = 4x
Now, Let the common ratio of the expenditure be y.
So, expenditure of p = 2y
and expenditure of q = 3y

According to question,
3x - 2y = 6000 -----------(1)
4x - 3y = 6000-----------(2)
Now, by {(1)×3} - {(2)×2}, we get
(9x - 6y) - (8x - 6y) = 18000 - 12000
9x - 6y - 8x + 6y = 6000
9x - 8x = 6000
x = 6000 (put in (1))
(3×6000) - 2y = 6000
18000 - 2y = 6000
2y = 18000 - 6000
2y = 12000
y = 6000
So, income of p = 3x = 3×6000 = 18000
and income of q = 4x = 4×6000 = 24000
Also, expenditure of p = 2y = 2×6000 = 12000
and expenditure of q = 3y = 3×6000 = 18000

Answer:

18000

Step-by-step explanation:

difference between income and exp is savings..

therefor dofference between ratios are 1 ie equal to 6000
