Answer:

let the ratio of income and expenditure be 7x,6x

7x = 14000 ∴ (given)

x =  \frac{14000}{7}

 \pink{ \boxed{x = ₹2000} }

⇒expenditure = 6x

putting the value of x

⇒6 × 2000 = ₹12000

 \purple{ \boxed{saving = income - expenditure} }

14000 - 12000 = ₹2000

hence,saving = ₹2000

Answer:

Hi ,

Ratio of income and expenditure

of the family = 7 : 6

7 parts of income = Rs 14000

1 part = 14000/ 7

1 part = Rs 2000 -----( 1 )

Savings = income - expenditure

= 7 parts - 6 parts

= 1 part

= Rs 2000 [ from ( 1 ) ]

I hope this helps you.
