Ratio of income and expenditure

of the family = 7 : 6

7 parts of income = Rs 14000

1 part = 14000/ 7

1 part = Rs 2000 -----( 1 )

Savings = income - expenditure

= 7 parts - 6 parts

= 1 part

= Rs 2000 [ from ( 1 ) ]
