Incomes of the two person be

9p and 7p

Also,

Hence now,

9p - 4n = 2000 .............. (1)

7p - 3n = 2000 .............. (2)

By Method here multiply (1) by 3 and (2) by 4 we get,

27p - 12n = 6000 ............... (3)

28p - 12n = 8000 ............... (4)

Here,

Co- Efficient of n is same hence, subtract (3) from (4)

(28p - 27p) - (12n - 12n) = 8000 - 6000

p = 2000

⇒ 9(2000) - 4n = 2000

⇒ 18000 - 4n = 2000

Hence,

First Person Income  

= 9p

= 9 × 2000

Second Person Income

= 7p
