Answer:
Let Income of A and B be ₹ x and ₹ y respectively.
Then, x:y = 9:7--------(1)
As each of them saves Rs 4000, so the expenditure of them are (x-4000) and (y-4000) and (x-4000) : (y-4000) = 4:3-------(2)
Solving (1) and (2)
x= ₹ 36000 and y = ₹ 28000
Hence, monthly income of A is ₹36000 and that of B is ₹28000
For 2nd part
To charity
(By A ) 9% of ₹36000 = ₹3240
(By B) 9% of ₹28000 = ₹2520
New resulting savings of A and B are ₹(4000-3240)=₹760 and ₹(4000-2520)=₹1480 respectively
