Given :- The ratio of incomes of two friends is 8: 5 and the ratio of their expenditures is 3:2. If each of them manages to save 1000 per month, then represent this situation algebraically. ?

Answer :-

Let us assume that,

  • Income of friends = 8x and 5x .
  • Expenditure of friends = 3y and 2y .

so,

→ saving = Income - Expenditure .

since both saves 1000 per month .

then,

→ 8x - 3y = 1000

→ 5x - 2y = 1000 .
