Monthly income of Jasmine is Rs. 54000 and Aman is Rs. 42000 .

If Jasmine and Aman donates 2% of their income to a charity working for  old age destitute, then the resulting savings of each is Rs. 4920 and Rs. 11040 respectively.

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1:

The ratio of incomes of Jasmine and Aman is given as 9 : 7

Let’s assume,

Jasmin’s income be “9x” and Aman’s income be “7y”.

Also, the ratio of expenditure of Jasmine and Aman is given as 4:3

Let’s assume,

Jasmine’s expenditure be “4x” and Aman’s expenditure be “3y”.

Monthly saving’s of each of them = Rs. 6000

Therefore, we can write the eq. as,

9x - 4y = 6000 .... (i)

7x - 3y = 6000 ..... (ii)

Step 2:

Now, multiplying eq. (i) by 3 and eq. (ii) by 4 and then subtracting both the equations, we get

28x - 12y = 24000

27x - 12y = 18000

-------------------------------

    x = 6000

----------------------------

Substituting the value of x in (i), we get

9*6000 – 4y = 6000

⇒ 4y = 54000 – 6000

⇒ y = 48000/4

y = Rs. 12000

Therefore,

Income of Jasmine = 9x = 9 * 6000 = Rs. 54000

Income of Aman = 7x = 7*6000 = Rs. 42000

And

Expenditure of Jasmine = 4y = 4*12000 = Rs. 48000

Expenditure of Aman = 3y = 3 * 12000 = Rs. 36000

Step 3:

It is given that both of them donate 2% of their income to the old age destitute.

Then, we have

The resulting saving of Jasmine as,

= 54000 – [48000 + (2/100*54000)]

= 54000 - 49080

= Rs. 4920

and

The resulting saving of Aman as,

= 48000 - (36000+ 2/100*48000)

= 48000 - 36960

= Rs. 11040

From this action it can be concluded that even after donating the resulting saving of Aman is (11040 - 4920 =) Rs. 6120 more than that of Jasmine's.
