Let the incomes be 9x and 7x respectively, and the expenditures be 4y and 3y respectively.

Now,
(Income) - (Expenditure) = (Savings).

So we can write this as 2 equations:

9x-4y=200  --- (1)

7x-3y=200 --- (2)

From equation (1), we get:   x= (200+4y)/9.

Substituting this value of x in (2), we get:

7*((200+4y)/9) - 3y = 200.

Simplifying this, we get: (1400 + 28 y)/9 - 27y/9 = 200
So, 1400 + 28y - 27y = 1800

This gives y=400, and hence x = (200+4y)/9 = 200.

Hence the incomes are:
9x = 9(200) = 1800;
7x = 7(200) = 1400;
