given,
length = 5x

breadth = 3x
perimeter = 64 cm
therefore ,
perimeter = 2 ( l + b )
64 = 2 ( 5x + 3x )
64 = 2 ( 8x )
64 = 16x
64 /16 = x
4 = x
therefore,
value of length = 5x = 5 * 4 = 20 cm

value of breadth = 3x = 3 * 4 = 12 cm

i hope that my answer will help u..........................^_^

Let the length and breadth in the ratios be 5x  and 3 x.

We know that ,
Perimeter of rectangle = 2 × ( length + breadth )
⇒ 64 = 2 × ( 5x + 3x )
⇒64  = 2 × ( 8 x )
⇒ 64 = 16 x
⇒ 4 = x

Therefore ,

length ⇒ 5 × x
         ⇒ 5 × 4
         ⇒ 20 cm.

and ,
breadth ⇒ 3 × x
            ⇒ 3 × 4
            ⇒ 12 cm.
