Answer :

  • length is 15m
  • breadth is 10m

Given :

  • The ratio of length and breadth of rectangle is 3:2
  • Perimeter of rectangle is 50m

To find :

  • length and breadth of rectangle

Solution :

  • let the length of rectangle be 3x
  • let the breadth of rectangle be 2x

As we know that ,

  • perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b)

where l is 3x , b is 2x and perimeter is 50

● perimeter of rectangle = 2(length + breadth)

● 2(3x + 2x) = 50

● 2(5x) = 50

● 10x = 50

● x = 50/10

● x = 5

Now,

  • length of rectangle = 3x = 3(5) = 15m
  • breadth of rectangle = 2x = 2(5) = 10m

Hence length is 15m and breadth is 10m
