the ratio of length and breadth of a cuboid is 5:3 .if it's height is 5cm and volume is 4800cm^ 3, then find the length and breadth of cuboid.

Given:

l:b=5:3

So,let there a constant number x,such that l=5 and b=3.

height is given 5cm

We know that the volume of cubid is equal to the product of the dimensions

i.e.  l*b*h=4800

Substituiting the values of length and breadth

5x*3x*5=4800

So,x^2=4800/75

x^2=64

So,x=8.

Thus length =5x=5*8

                    =40cm

& Breadth =3x=3*8

                    =24cm
