Answer:

length and breadth of the rectangle= 2:3

let the length and breadth be 2x and 3x

perimeter of the rectangle = 50 cm

perimeter = 2(l+b)

2X (2x+3x) = 50

2 X 5x =50

10x= 50

x= 50/10

x= 5

therfore, length of the rectangle= 2x

= 2X 5= 10cm

breadth of the rectangle =3x

=3X5= 15cm

Answer:

The length of rectangle = 10 cm

The breadth of rectangle = 15 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Let,

  • The length of rectangle = 2x
  • The breadth of rectangle = 3x

Perimeter is 50 cm.

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 (length + breadth)

⇒ 2 (2x + 3x) = 50

⇒ 4x + 6x = 50

⇒ 10x = 50

⇒ x = 50/10

x = 5

Value of 2x :

⇒ 2x

⇒ 2 × 5

10

The length of rectangle = 10 cm

Value of 3x :

⇒ 3x

⇒ 3 × 5

15

The breadth of rectangle = 15 cm

Therefore,

The length of rectangle = 10 cm

The breadth of rectangle = 15 cm
