The ratio of length and breadth of a rectangle is3:2 ,the ratio of its perimeter and area is 5:9.what is the breadth of the rectangle in metres?

let length be x and breadth be y

then x/y=3/2

2x=3y - (I)

2(x+y) /xy=5/9

2x+2y/xy=5/9

3y+2y/xy=5/9 - (2x=3y)

5y/xy=5/9

5/x=5/9

5x=45

x=9
