And, width: x

Perimeter = 320

2(l+w) =320

2(3x + x) =320

2(4x) = 320

4x = 320÷2

4x = 160

x = 160÷4

x = 40

Therefore, length = 3x

= 3×40

= 120m

width = x

= 40

Area of the path = 2 × 120

= 240m sq.

Now , cost of road construction

= 240 ×1.50

= Rs. 360 (ans.)
