Answer:

Given,

Width of the school ground =40m

Ratio of length to width of ground =5:2.

Let,

Length of the school ground =5x

Width of the school ground =2x

                                       2x = 40

                                          x=20

∴ Length of the school ground =5x

                                                    =5(20)

                                                    =100m

Hope it helps....

 \bf \huge {\underline {\underline \red{AnSwEr}}}

⠀⠀⠀⠀

Given

⠀⠀⠀⠀

  • Ratio of length and width = 5 : 2

⠀⠀⠀⠀

  • Width = 40m

⠀⠀⠀⠀

To Find

⠀⠀⠀⠀

  • Length of school ground

⠀⠀⠀⠀

Solution

⠀⠀⠀⠀

Let length and width be 5x and 2x respectively.

⠀⠀⠀⠀

 \bf \implies Width = 40m

⠀⠀⠀⠀

 \bf \implies 2x = 40

⠀⠀⠀⠀

 \bf \implies x = 40 \div 2

⠀⠀⠀⠀

 \bf \implies x = 20m

⠀⠀⠀⠀

Now Length = 5x

⠀⠀⠀⠀

 \bf \implies Length = 5x

⠀⠀⠀⠀

\bf \implies 5 \times 20

⠀⠀⠀⠀

\bf \implies 100m

⠀⠀⠀⠀

Hence, Length of the school ground is 100m.
