THE RATIO OF LENGTH TO WIDTH OF OUR NATIONAL FLAG IS 5:2. FIND THE LENGTH IF WIDTH IS 1.4M

The answer is

Let the length and breadth of the flag be 5x and 2x respectively.

According to question,

if  2x = 1.4m

Than,

 x = \frac{1.4}{2}

= 0.7m

If x = 0.7

Then,

5x = 5 × x

= (5 × 0.7)m = 3.5 m

Hence,

Lenght = 3.5m

\huge\boxed{3.5 m}

Solutions :-

Given :
The ratio of length to width = 5 : 2
Width = 1.4 m

Let the length be x


According to the question,

=> 5/2 = x/1.4
=> 5 × 1.4 = x × 2
=> 7 = 2x
=> 7/2 = x = 3.5


Hence,
Length = 3.5 m
