Step-by-step explanation:

If i understood your question correctly

dettol+water=36

let water be 5x and dettol be x

5x+x=36

6x=36

x=36/6

x=6

amount of water is 5x=5×6=30

if water is 3x as in case 2(i.e.3:1)

then 3x=30

x=10

so finally we got 10 liters of dettol

but we had 6 in he begining

so we have to subtract 6 from 10 as they asked how much is added =10-6=4
