the ratio of meera's age 4 years ago and varsha's age after 4 years is 1:1. presently, the ratio of their ages is 5:3. find the ratio between meera's age 4 years from now and varsha's age 4 years ago. ​

Solution :-

Let us assume that, present age of meera is 5x years and varsha is 3x years .

So,

→ (5x - 4) / (3x + 4) = 1/1

→ 5x - 4 = 3x + 4

→ 5x - 3x = 4 + 4

→ 2x = 8

→ x = 4

then,

→ Required ratio = (5x + 4) : (3x - 4) = 5 * 4 + 4 : 3 * 4 - 4 = 24 : 8 = 3 : 1 (Ans.)
