Let number of men = 4x

number of women = 5x

According to the problem given,

number of women = number of men + 120

=> 5x = 120 + 4x

=> 5x - 4x = 120

=> x = 120

Therefore,

number of voters in the polling

booth = 4x+5x

= 9x

= 9×120

= 1080
