Let no.of men be 'x'

Given,no.of women = 28

In the question,it is given that the ration of men to women in the party = 6 : 7

So, x : 28 :: 6 : 7

We know that product of means = product of extremes

So,

7 × x = 28 × 6

7x = 168

x = 168/7

x = 24

Therefore,there are '24' men at the party

In the question it is asked to calculate the total no.of people at the party.

Total no.of people at the party = no.of men + no.of. women

= 24 + 28

= 52
