The ratio of Nisha and nishant ages is 4:5. After 10 years their ratio is 5:6.Find their present ages.​

40 year ;  50 year

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the present age of Nisha be 4a and that of Nishant be 5a.

  After 10 years,  

      Age of Nisha = 4a + 10

      Age of Nishant = 5a + 10

As given in question:

⇒ Ratio after 10 yr = 5 : 6

⇒ ( 4a + 10 ) : ( 5a + 10 ) = 5 : 6

⇒ 6( 4a + 10 ) = 5( 5a + 10 )

⇒ 24a + 60 = 25a + 50

⇒ 60 - 50 = 25a - 24a

⇒ 10 = a

   Hence the present age of Nisha is 4a = 40

   and age of Nishant is 5a = 5( 10 ) = 50

\bigstar Answer :

\star Let the Nisha age be ' 4a '

\star and Nishanth age be ' 5a '

\star A/c to given condition ,

\star 4a + 10 : 5a + 10 = 5a : 6a

=> 6 (4a + 10) = 5 (5a + 10)

=> 24 a + 60 = 25 a + 50

=> 10 = a

=> a =10

\star So , The Present age of Nisha be ' 4a ' = 4*10 = 40 years
