1440 divided by 12 is 120
no. of boys at first= 120 x 7
= 840
No. of boys in the end= 840 + 40
= 880
so I assume the 4:3, the 4 is for boys cuz the question isn't clear
4u= 880
1u= 880 divided by 4
= 220
3u= 220 x 3
= 660
No. of girls at first= 120 x 5
= 600
No. of new girls that need to be admitted
= 660-600
= 60

Ans: 60
