1. It is given that the number of females is 4000 and the ratio of females to the village population is 5:11. Let us assume 5x and 11x in the ratio, where "x" is equal to the population in each part.
Women comprise of 5 parts of the population out of 11. So,

5x  = 4000
x    = 4000 / 5
x    = 800 in one part.
There are totally 11 parts in the population. So,
11x = 11 x 800 = [8800] = Total population.

2. Now, the number of males in the population is equal to the total population minus the number of females (obviously).
So,
Number of males = 8800 - 4000 = [4800] males.

3. To find out the ratio of the population to the number of males, we subtract the number of parts having females from the total parts of the population. So there would be (11 - 5) = 6 parts having males.
So the ratio would be [11:6].

4. Once again, males comprise of 6 parts of the population whereas females comprise of 5.
So the ratio of males to females should be [6:5].
