Given that the ratio of male to female workers is 5:1

Let the number of male workers be 5x and female workers x

ATQ

5x = 250
⇒ x= 50

That means no. of female workers= 50 and number of male workers= 250

Now for the ratio to be 1:1, no. of male workers should be equal to that of female. So,

No. of more female workers should be = 250 - 50
= 200

Hence, there should be 200 more female workers.

Hi ,

It is given that ,

ratio of male and female workers = 5 : 1

Let the number of male workers = 5x

number of female workers = x

according to the problem given ,

5x = 250

x = 250/5

x = 50

Therefore ,

number of female workers = x = 50

200 female workers needed to make the ratio

equal.

I hope this helps you.
