Age of a = 7x -9
Age of b=9x-9
Ratio = 2:3
7x-9/9x-9=2/3
Cross multiply
3(7x-9)= 2(9x-9)
21x-27=18x-18
3x=9
x=3
Present age of a =7x =7×3=21
Present age of b= 9x = 9×3=27
