age of alpha=5x

age of jalpai=7x

ATQ

5 years later

5x+5

7x+5

5x+5=3

7x+5=4

\frac{5x+5}{7x+5}=\frac{3}{4}

4(5x+5)=3(7x+5)

20x+20=21x+15

20x-21x=15-20

x=5

their present ages:-

5*5=25 years

5*7=35 years

\mathfrak{Answer:}

Alpha's age = 25 years.

Jalpai's age = 35 years.

\mathfrak{Step-by-Step\:Explanation:}

Let the age of Alpha anf Jalpai be 5x years and 7x years.

After 5 years,

  • Alpha's age = (5x + 5) years.
  • Jalpai's age = (7x + 5) years.

According to question :

\implies\tt{\dfrac{5x+5}{7x+5}=\dfrac{3}{4}}\\\\\\\implies\tt{(5x+5)4=(7x+5)3}\\\\\\\implies\tt{20x+20=21x+15}\\\\\\\implies\tt{21x-20x=20-15}\\\\\\\implies\tt{x=5.}\\\\\\\boxed{\boxed{\bold{Alpha's\:age=25\:years\quad\&\quad Jalpai's\:age=35\:years.}}}
