the ratio of present age of Amar and akber is 6:7


Let,

    Present age of Amar = 6x years

    Present age of Akber = 7x years



5 years ago,

Age of Amar = present age - 5 years

                     = 6x years - 5 years


Age of Akber = present age - 5 years

                      = 7x years - 5 years



According to the question, sum of their ages 5 years ago was 75 years.Therefore, sum of 6x - 5 years and 7x - 5 years is 75  years.


( 6x - 5 ) years + ( 7x - 5 ) years = 75 years

6x - 5 + 7x - 5 = 75

6x + 7x - 5 - 5 = 75

13x - 10 = 75

13x = 75 + 10

13 x = 85

x = \dfrac{85}{13}


Therefore,

Present age of amar = 6x years = 6( 85 / 13 ) years = 510 / 13 years


Present age of akber = 7x years = 7( 85 / 13 ) years = 595 / 13 years
