The ratio of present age of Ramesh and Mahesh is 5 : 7. After four years the ratio of

their age will be 3 : 4. Find out their present age​

Given:-

=>Ratio of present ages of Ramesh and Mahesh=5:7

=>Ratio of ages of them 4 years later=3:4

To find:-

=>Present ages of Ramesh and Mahesh

Solution:-

Let their present ages be 5x and 7x respectively.

Thus,their age after 4 yrs are----

i.5x+4

ii.7x+4

Now,As Per Question-------

=>5x+4/7x+4=3/4

=>4(5x+4)=3(7x+4)

=>20x+16=21x+12

=>20x-21x=12-16

=>-x= -4

=>x=4

Thus, their present ages are------

i.Ramesh--(5×4)=20 years

ii.Mahesh=(7×4)=28 years
