( x +4 )

so Ramesh age = 7 x = x = 4 * 7 = 28

so Mahesh age = 5 x = x = 5*7 = 20

✬ Average = 24 Years ✬

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

  • Ratio of present age of Paresh and Ramesh is 7 : 5.

  • Ratio of ages of Paresh before 3 years and Ramesh after 5 years is 1 : 1.

To Find:

What is average of their ages ?

  • Solution: Let x be the common in given ratios. Therefore,

➟ Paresh age = 7x years

➟ Ramesh age = 5x years

Now,

[ 3 years ago Paresh's age was ]

  • (7x – 3) years

[ Afternoon 5 years Ramesh's age will be ]

  • (5x + 5) years

A/q

Ratio is of their age is 1 : 1.

</p><p>⟹ (7x – 3) : (5x + 5) = 1 : 1 \\ ⟹ 7x – 3/5x + 5 = 1/1 \\ </p><p></p><p>⟹ 1(7x – 3) = 1(5x + 5) \\ </p><p></p><p>⟹ 7x – 3 = 5x + 5 \\ </p><p></p><p>⟹ 7x – 5x = 5 + 3 \\ </p><p></p><p>⟹ 2x = 8 \\ </p><p></p><p>⟹ x = 8/2 \\ </p><p></p><p>{\rm }⟹ x = 4 \\ </p><p></p><p>So, \: present \: age \: of

➙ Paresh = 7 × 4 = 28 Years

➙ Ramesh = 5 × 4 = 20 Years

★ Average = Sum of numbers/total numbers ★

  • Average = 28 + 20/2

Hence average of their ages is 24 years.
