Step-by-step explanation:

  • Let the age of A be 3 x years and B be 2 x years .

After 5 years,

  • A will be = (3 x +5 ) years.
  • B will be = ( 2 x+ 5 ) years.

A/q,  ( 3 x  +5 ) /(  2 x  +5 ) = 14 /11

⇒  33 x + 55 = 28 x  + 70

⇒ 5 x = 15

∴ x = 3.

  • A's present age = 3 x = 9 years.
  • B's   ''         ''       = 2 x = 6 years.

Thanks.

present age of A = 3x
present age of B=2x
after 5 years,age of A=3x+5
after 5 years,age of B=2x+5
(3x+5)/(2x+5)=14/11
11(3x+5) = 14(2x+5)
33x+55=28x+70
5x=15
x=3
present age of A=9years
present age of B=6years
