Ratio

Given:

The ratio of present age of a, b, c is 3:4:5.

The sum of their ages 10 years ago, is 54 years.

To Find:

Percentage of b's age.

Explanation:

Let the present age of a is 3x.

And the present age of b is 4x.

and the present age of c is 5x.

According to question,

Ten years ago,

3x+4x+5x=54\\\implies 12x=54\\\\\implies x=\frac{54}{12}\\\\\implies x=\frac{9}{2} \\\\x=4.5 \ years

hence, age of a is 3x =3\times 4.5=13.5 \ years

Hence age of b is 4x=4 \times 4.5=18 \ years

Hence, age of c is 5x=5 \times 4.5=22.5 \ years

Percentage of b's age with total age=\frac{18}{54} \times100=33.33\%

Hence , percentage required is 33%.
