Let present age Beena is 2x years

 So present age of Meena will be 3x

After 2 years,

Age of Beena = ( 2x + 2 ) years

Age of Meena = ( 3x + 2 ) years

Given that after 2 years sum of their ages will be 29 years,

⇒ Age of Beena after 2 years + Age of Meena after 2 years = 29 years

⇒ ( 2x + 2 ) + ( 3x + 2 ) = 29

⇒ 2x + 2 + 3x  + 2 = 29

⇒ 2x + 3x + 2 + 2 = 29

⇒ 5x + 4 = 29

⇒ 5x = 29 - 4

⇒ 5x = 25

⇒ x = 25 ÷ 5

⇒ x = 5
