the ratio of present ages of Karthik and Ramana is 2 is to 3 after 5 years from now it becomes 4 is to 5 what is the present age of ramana.​

Answer:

Ratio of ages of karthik to Ramana = 2:3

let the present age of karthik be 2x and that of Ramana be 3x

Given, 5 years later ratio of ages =4:5

i.e. 2x+5:3x+5=4:5

      5(2x+5)=4(3x+5)   ( Cross Multiply)

10x+25=12x+20

2x=5

x=5/2=2.5

Age of karthik= 3x=3*2.5=7.5 years

Age of Ramana=2x=2*2.5=5 years
